Russian Jokes - Disguise and Holmes
By admin | June 5, 2007
Watson was having breakfast in a livingroom and reading morning newspaper. Suddenly a loathsome old man appeared:
- Good morning, Doctor, - said he to Watson, ascended on a staircase and went into Holmes’ bedroom.
After a while a large red-bearded sailor with harpoon came out of Holmes’ room. After sparingly salutating Watson, he went out to the street. Then came a coughing old second-hand bookseller and went to Holmes’ room. This muddle went on and on for the whole morning. Watson could not stand it any longer, looking how a dwarf clambers the staircase, and rushed into his friend’s chamber. “What the hell is this disguise for?” – Watson was very angry.
Holmes was sitting near an open window, with a large jar full of two-pence coins.
A gap-toothed face appeared in the window. Holmes pointed to a jar:
- Put your two-pence there, go down staircase, and through corridor to Baker street, - them Holmes turned to Watson and smiled, - today Baker street is blocked from both sides due to some construction works, and our apartment can help people to go through. So this is a nice chance to have some extra money!
